About PAX programs:

Pax is the Latin word for peace. For most of us, peace is an illusive experience; for some, it is almost non-existant!  However, it is possible to find calm and ease even when we are caught up in the everyday busyness of our lives. Yoga and meditation are both practices that can substantially lower the degree of stress and anxiety many of us experience on a daily basis. 

Indications of stress-overload are:

  • disturbed sleep patterns and insomnia
  • Frequent headaches and back aches
  • Greater susceptibility to colds and flu
  • Irritability and mood swings
  • Fatigue and loss of drive
  • Over/under eating
  • Greater reliance on alcohol/drugs

Chronically high stress levels can cause:

  • Reduced immunity
  • High blood pressure
  • Heart arrhythmia
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Depression
  • Heart attack/stroke

The yoga and meditation practices taught by Skyelar evolved out of her own experience of dealing with the debilitating effects of stress on her health and the well-being of her family.  As a result of these experiences, Skyelar created Pax Whole Body Programs, offering both yoga and meditation, to help others learn to alleviate symptoms of stress and at the same time develop a more sustainable and peaceful way of being in the world.
